Reviews from Review Sites:
“It has a certain atmosphere. The lack of sophistication is actually a plus. Some outdoor baths have an ambiguous feel, like you can’t tell if it’s a pond or a bath, but the sauna was really good.”
“The ambiance is simply wonderful. The building is wooden, and not only the outdoor and indoor baths but also the corridors and changing rooms have a nostalgic feel. It’s a hot spring facility where you can feel a sense of nostalgia.”
“It’s natural black hot water! Contrary to some reviews, it didn’t smell of chlorine. The building has an aged feel, and you can enjoy an atmosphere like an old-established inn!”
“The hot spring was pleasant, and I could relax. There were many fallen leaves, so it would be nice to have a net. I would like to try the food if I have the chance.”
“I like the smooth feel of the black hot water, the abundance of nature in the outdoor baths, the relaxing spots with rabbits, and the friendly staff. Since I don’t have a car, the shuttle bus is helpful.”
“The facility is small, and they need to calculate the number of people it can accommodate. There are many outdoor baths, and the atmosphere feels like a suburban forest, which is nice. However, the facility is too small, so there weren’t enough faucets to wash my body, and the stone sauna was full, which was disappointing.”
“The atmosphere is good, and it’s one of my favorites, but recently the smell of disinfectant has been strong, and the smell lingers even after I get home. The staff regularly add a white disinfectant from spray bottles, which feels quite different from the description on the website.”

Review of the Visit
Relaxing Atmosphere: 3.5/5
You can experience the unique feeling of being in a forest while enjoying the hot springs. This is because the vast forest centered around Jindaiji extends to the back of the outdoor bath area, and the outdoor bath area is surrounded by stone walls and rocks. Additionally, there are waterfalls and cave baths in the garden, and the layout utilizes steps and height differences.
Jindaiji itself is a historic temple, the second oldest in Tokyo after the popular Sensoji Temple among foreign tourists. According to the website, it was built in 733, about 1300 years ago. This atmosphere might just be a feeling because of the name Jindaiji, but I feel a somewhat mystical atmosphere in the forest.
Quality of the Hot Spring: 5/5
Black hot spring is smooth, very warming, and gentle on the skin. The black hot spring at Jindaiji Yumorinosato contains fulvic acid, which is derived from seaweed and ferns that have matured in the 1500-meter-deep strata, and is rich in minerals.
Various Baths Experiences: 4/5
Jindaiji Yumorinosato has the following baths:
Cave Bath: Enjoy the hot spring in a unique cave.
Projection Mapping Bath: Enjoy the projected images on the ceiling while bathing.
Waterfall Bath: Relax while being surrounded by negative ions from the waterfall-like flow of hot water.
Goemon Bath: A single-person bath where you can enjoy the hot spring quietly.
Binchotan Water Bath (Men’s Bath): A bath with detoxifying effects of charcoal.
Akado Suzunosuke (Women’s Bath): A low-frequency electric bath that promotes blood circulation.
Crystal Water Bath (Women’s Bath): A bath with crystals, creating a fantastic atmosphere that helps to balance the mind and body.
Takami Bath (Women’s Bath): A hidden bath surrounded by cypress, where you can relax in the scent of cypress.
In addition to the quality of the hot springs, layout of these baths leveraging its height differences made the visit memorable.
Facility : 3/5
There is a rest area on the second floor, and the facilities have a homely atmosphere overall. The parking lot is a bit far, so be careful of getting cold in winter. It can accommodate about 50 cars, but it was quite full, so it might be better to take the bus during busy times.
Food: 4/5
Actually, this was the first place I visited on my hot spring tour, so I wasn’t used to super sento yet and didn’t use restaurant here. I’ll give it a provisional rating of 3.
Overall Rating: 3.80/5
It’s a highly recommended super sento. The quality of the black hot spring is so good, and the atmosphere created by the stone steps surrounded by the forest in the outdoor bath area makes me want to visit again. It’s not too far from the Tokyo city area, there are buses from convenient stations like Kichijoji and Chofu Station.
This was the first one when I started visiting various super sento. I’m glad it was the first.
