Introduction
In this blog, I will review various hot springs and super sento (public baths) in Tokyo. Below are how I selected where to visit and how I evaluate.
1. List of Top Ranking
First, I will use the ranking of hot springs and super sento in Tokyo as a guide and visit each location to write a review. There are many rankings available, but for this blog, I will use the following ranking: Tokyo Hot Springs and Super Sento Ranking
List of Facilities
I will plan my visits based on this list, detailing the location and unique features of each facility.
2. Review Criteria
Everyone has their own way of enjoying hot springs and super sento, but I will focus on the following five criteria, each rated out of 5 points, based on my personal experience.
Evaluation Criteria
- Relaxing/Extraordinary Atmosphere
To truly relax and unwind, the scenery, surrounding environment, and overall atmosphere are crucial. I will evaluate how much of an escape from daily life each facility provides. - Quality of the Hot Spring
Rather than a technical analysis, I will judge the quality based on the color and scent of the water, and whether it feels like a genuine hot spring experience. - Various Baths Experiences
I will assess whether there are a variety of baths that make me want to stay and enjoy for a long time. - Facility
I will evaluate the cleanliness of the facilities, the availability of rest areas, and any additional interesting amenities. - Food
I will rate the quality and taste of the food available at the facility.
Overall Rating
I will calculate the overall score using the following weights:
- Relaxing/Extraordinary Atmosphere: 40%
- Quality of the Hot Spring: 30%
- Various Baths Experiences: 15%
- Facilities: 10%
- Food: 5%
This will provide a comprehensive evaluation, which I will present in a ranking format.
