The definition of “central Tokyo” can vary, but for this ranking, we have selected hot springs and super sento that are accessible within 30 minutes by car from Tokyo Station.

Top 4 Ranked Hot Springs & Super Sento Within 30 Minutes from Central Tokyo
1st Place: Maenohara Onsen Sayanoyudokoro (Link)
Located slightly outside central Tokyo in a lush natural environment, Maenohara Onsen Sayanoyudokoro offers a traditional open-air bath and garden-style setting. It is more convenient by car but can also be accessed via public transport.
2nd Place: Haneda Airport Onsen Izumi Tenku no Yu (Link)
This facility provides a unique experience where you can enjoy hot springs while watching airplanes take off and land. A perfect spot before or after a flight.
3rd Place: LaQua (Link)
Located in Tokyo Dome City, LaQua is a popular urban spa with extensive relaxation facilities, including a natural hot spring, sauna, and spa treatments.
4th Place: Tokyo Somei Onsen SAKURA (Link)
A natural sodium-chloride strong saline hot spring that warms the body from the core. Conveniently located near Sugamo Station.
Summary
While the rankings are as listed above, Maenohara Onsen Sayanoyudokoro is more convenient by car (as is Haneda Airport Onsen unless you are already heading towards Haneda Airport).
Other than the 1st place, most of these facilities have higher pricing, so please consider that before visiting. However, all of them offer a great experience, so be sure to check them out!
